Elton was elected to the committee at the 2026 AGM.
For more than 30 years, squash has been an important part of my life. For over two decades, I have proudly represented Mulgrave Country Club in the highest grades of Club Circuit, currently competing in A1, A2 and Masters competitions, where I have been fortunate to be part of several premiership-winning teams. Throughout this journey, I have developed a deep appreciation for the competition, friendships and sense of community that make our sport so special.
Since April 2025, I have had the privilege of serving as Chairperson of the Squash & Racquetball Section at Mulgrave Country Club. Together with an outstanding committee, coaches, volunteers and members, we have transformed our section into one of Australia leading squash communities.
Some of our proudest achievements include:
● Leading Mulgrave Country Club to Victorian Club of the Year (2024 and 2025) and Australian Club of the Year (2025).
● Growing the club to become the largest squash and racquetball membership base in Victoria, and arguably Australia.
● Expanding junior participation through new coaching pathways, school engagement and community programs.
● Establishing a $30,000 annual scholarship program supporting junior and elite players under 25 who are full-time students, ensuring financial barriers do not prevent talented athletes from reaching their potential.
● Developing a structured coaching framework that provides clear career pathways for coaches while attracting one of the largest and most experienced coaching teams in the country.
In 2026, I was honoured to receive Mulgrave Country Club's 2025 Volunteer of the Year Award, recognition that reflects the dedication of the incredible volunteers across every sporting section whom I have the privilege of working alongside each week. More recently, I was proud to finish runner-up at the 2026 Hong Kong Masters.
As Vice President of Club Circuit, I am committed to strengthening our competitions, supporting our clubs and volunteers, and helping grow squash by creating an environment where players of all ages and abilities can enjoy, compete and thrive. It is a privilege to serve the squash community, and I look forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of our sport.
